"I married my high school sweetheart, Michael, 37 years ago. Our children are Sarah and Timothy. Sarah and her husband Brian were blessed with a son, Oliver, this past summer. I love being a grandma! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and had surgery about 10 days after my diagnosis. My surgery was just 2 weeks before our son's college graduation and 4 weeks before our daughter's wedding. 

My husband and my children are my champions. I am also grateful for dear, faithful and loving friends. There is life-wonderful, beautiful, fulfilling LIFE after diagnosis and treatment! One day at a time, you and your family will get through it. The "what-ifs" can creep up, but stay the course. There is so much to be grateful for - even on the difficult days. My greatest strength is my faith and my greatest hope is a cure for cancer."
