Strategic Grant-Giving
Grant-giving is an important part of our mission at The Aultman Foundation (TAF). Since 2007, we have distributed over $2.3 million in grants to non-profits in our service region. It is a privilege to partner with these organizations to help lead our community to improved health. Click here to see a complete list of The Aultman Foundation's 2024 grantees.
Changes Effective Jan. 2024
Beginning in 2024, we are implementing a new, more strategic approach to grant distribution. The process is pivoting from a responsive grant-making model, where requests are received during a specific timeframe, to a model where TAF will approach partners that are helping to address prioritized community health needs as identified in Aultman’s Community Health Needs Assessment report. Two key priorities will be our focus: access to care and mental health services.
Key Priorities
- Mental health encompasses access to mental health services, addiction and suicide.
- Access to healthcare encompasses programs and services that help expand community access to high-quality, affordable, holistic and culturally relevant basic healthcare, work to reduce barriers impacting access to care and improve coordination of care to ensure community members have equitable access to care.
Eligibility Guidelines
- Your non-profit must be a 501(c)3.
- Your nonprofit program must impact one or more of the counties within Aultman Health Foundation's primary service area: Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll or Tuscarawas counties.
- Your program should address access to care and/or mental health services.
Next Steps
Organizations approached by TAF and invited to apply will be required to complete a full grant application, which will be reviewed and determined for funding by TAF’s board of directors.
Organizations seeking funds for a program that meets the eligibility guidelines are welcome to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) that enables you to make Aultman aware of your work that aligns with our more defined priorities. The opportunity to submit an LOI is closed for 2024. Please check back regarding 2025.
