Donor Spotlight: Mary Ann King
Mary Ann King, an Aultman Generations member, earned her diploma from the Aultman School of Nursing in 1957 and went on to enjoy a long, satisfying nursing career - mainly at Aultman - which she describes as "her home."
Mary Ann feels a sense of gratitude, specifically to the college, for the central part they played in preparing her as a nurse. Her way of expressing that gratitude was to establish the Elsie (Krites) Schroeder Scholarship, in honor of her mother, who taught her the importance of philanthropy. Like many philanthropists, Mary Ann believes in "giving back." By easing the financial burden of future nursing students through a scholarship, Mary Ann has made it possible for others to follow in her footsteps.
Just like Mary Ann, you too can make a difference in the lives of others. To learn more about establishing an Aultman College scholarship or supporting patient and healthcare initiatives, contact Nicole Borbonus, Director of the Aultman Foundation, at 330-363-6246.
